Spring Cleaning with Home Fragrances

Spring is a time for new beginnings. It's a time to declutter, clean, and refresh our homes. But spring cleaning isn't just about getting rid of the dirt and grime. It's also about creating a space that is inviting and welcoming.

One of the best ways to do this is with home fragrances. Fragrances can help to create a mood, set the tone, and make your home feel fresh and clean.

Here are a few tips for using home fragrances during spring cleaning:

  • Start with a clean slate. Before you start using any home fragrances, make sure your home is clean and free of any lingering odours.
  • Choose the right fragrance. Select a fragrance that is appropriate for the season and the mood you want to create. For spring, fresh and clean laundry scents are a great choice.
  • Use a variety of methods. There are many different ways to use home fragrances. You can use candles, diffusers, room sprays, or even potpourri.
  • Don't overdo it. It's important to use home fragrances in moderation. Too much fragrance can be overwhelming and even irritating.
  • Be creative. There are many different ways to use home fragrances. Experiment and find what works best for you. Try different fragrances around your home.

Here are a few of my favourite spring cleaning home fragrances:

  • Citrus:
    • These are invigorating and uplifting. Think lemongrass & ginger. They cut through stale air and leave a sparkling clean scent.
  • Floral:
    • Light, airy florals like bluebell, lily of the valley, and cherry blossom capture the essence of spring. They add a delicate and refreshing touch.
  • Green:
    • These fragrances mimic the scent of fresh-cut grass, herbs, and leaves. They bring a natural, outdoor freshness indoors. Think peppermint & eucalyptus.
  • Aquatic:
    • Clean, watery notes evoke the feeling of a gentle breeze and freshly washed linens. Check out our limited edition Fresh Linen Diffuser.

Here are a few additional tips for using home fragrances:

  • Use them in the right places. Place your home fragrances in areas where they will be most effective. For example, place a diffuser in your living room or bedroom, or use a room spray in your bathroom or kitchen. Remember your diffuser needs to have heat & air movement to give you the wafts of fragrance.
  • Layer your fragrances. You can layer your fragrances by using different products in the same scent, by using a candle, diffuser, and room spray.
  • Use natural fragrances. Natural fragrances are a great way to add a touch of nature to your home. You can find natural fragrances in essential oils, candles, and diffusers.

Top tip: struggling to get rid of a lingering odour? Place some cat litter in a dish or bowl & leave it in the area. The smell will gradually disappear over time. Change as required, until odour has gone.
